The Quest Inn becomes the Quest Health Centre, revolutionizing health care accessibility
Since 2001, Quest has been providing accommodations for patients through FNIHB (First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Manitoba Region), and improving medical access for First Nations across Northern Manitoba. Community members now have a safe and supportive place to stay when receiving the essential medical services that people in urban areas take for granted.
Our Clinic in Winnipeg is the home base for physicians who travel directly to the communities, offering primary care services to support the medical care already established within each of them. These physicians also provide follow-up care before the patients return home, to provide seamless continuance of care that has been sorely missing.
The underserviced mental health crisis in the North became a major focus for Quest Health. A team of social workers and Mental Health workers was assembled with the goal of increasing mental health capacity in the communities and Winnipeg, mirroring, and later surpassing our physical health programs.
Today, Quest Health Mental Health Services provides life saving mental wellness services and programs throughout the North, as well as programs, classes and consultations in the city.
Quest Health Mental Wellness Services, together with the newly rebranded Quest Health Clinic, has become the leader in developing creative solutions and innovative programs, and increasing the overall health services and capacity in our partnering communities and beyond.
The recent addition of our Guest Support Services Desk helps to alleviate the challenges and confusion that many community members face while navigating through their personal health journey. Guest Support Services assists with appointments, travel, and accessing our in-house pharmaceutical services.
As we look to the future, Quest Health will continue to evolve in its mission to be a complete Health and Wellness solution to the critically underserviced communities we serve.
Quest Health has provided medical clinic services to more than 10,000 individuals, in Winnipeg and in their home communities.
Quest Health has provided psychiatric counselling with 140 patients to date, 3000 individuals have attended their 5-day Coping Skills program, and more than 5000 mental wellness engagements have been facilitated.
With close to 140 rooms, the Quest Inn has hosted tens of thousands of guests in its history, many of whom are repeat customers who choose Quest over any other accommodations in Winnipeg.
Guest Support Services regularly assists up to 40 guests a day – almost 15,000 opportunities each year to make someone’s stay a little better.
